OFFICIAL NATIONAL ENROLLMENT APPLICATION

This is a sovereign governmental process of the Federation of Indigenous Peoples. Enrollment constitutes a formal application for recognition of national status and citizenship within the Federation. This process is governed by the sovereign authority of the Federation and is not subject to the jurisdiction of any colonial state or federal government.

ENROLLMENT DISCLAIMER & ELIGIBILITY NOTICE

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING.

The Federation of Indigenous Peoples (FIP) is a sovereign body representing the aboriginal peoples of North America — those who inhabited this land prior to European colonization and prior to the Bering Strait migration. FIP enrollment is a formal governmental process that confers national status and citizenship within the Federation.

Eligibility for national status and citizenship in the Federation of Indigenous Peoples is determined by three criteria, ALL of which must be met:

  1. LINEAGE — Applicant must demonstrate documented or documentable lineage traceable to the aboriginal peoples of North America. This includes, but is not limited to, descendants of peoples associated with the Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Muscogee (Creek), Seminole, Monacan, Pamunkey, Mattaponi, Rappahannock, Lumbee, Catawba, Tuscarora, Nansemond, Powhatan Confederacy, and other aboriginal nations of the Eastern, Southeastern, and Central regions of North America. Lineage from Siberian or Bering Strait migration peoples does not qualify under this enrollment. FIP specifically represents the aboriginal peoples who predate the Bering Strait migration.

  2. ALIGNMENT — Applicant must demonstrate sincere alignment with the principles, mission, and values of the Federation of Indigenous Peoples, including the rejection of colonial racial misclassification and the commitment to sovereignty, identity reclamation, and indigenous community.

  3. BACKGROUND REVIEW — All applicants are subject to a background review as part of the enrollment process. The Federation of Indigenous Peoples reserves the sovereign right to deny or defer enrollment to any applicant whose background review reveals information inconsistent with the safety, integrity, or values of the Federation and its citizens.

ADDITIONAL NOTICES

  • Submission of this enrollment application does not guarantee acceptance. All applications are reviewed by the FIP Office of Enrollment.

  • Providing false or misleading information on this application is grounds for immediate disqualification and permanent enrollment denial.

  • FIP enrollment is distinct from federal tribal enrollment. FIP national status is recognized within the Federation and does not constitute federal recognition under the Indian Reorganization Act or any U.S. federal statute.

  • Enrollment decisions are made at the sole discretion of the Federation of Indigenous Peoples in exercise of its sovereign authority.

  • Accepted applicants will be notified via the email address provided on this application. Review timelines vary based on application volume and documentation completeness.

  • By submitting this application, the applicant affirms that all information provided is true, accurate, and complete to the best of their knowledge.

  • All application information is held in strict confidence within the Federation and will not be shared with any third party, colonial governmental entity, or external organization without the applicant's express written consent.

NOTICE REGARDING LINEAGE REQUIREMENTS

The Federation of Indigenous Peoples specifically represents the aboriginal peoples of North America whose ancestral presence on this land predates the Bering Strait migration. Our enrollment is not open to descendants of Siberian or Mongoloid-featured peoples whose ancestors migrated via the Bering Strait land bridge. Our lineage requirement centers the original, aboriginal inhabitants of North America — those whose descendants were systematically misclassified as 'Black,' 'Negro,' 'Colored,' 'Mulatto,' or 'African-American' through colonial mechanisms including the Racial Integrity Act of 1924, the Dawes Act, and related instruments of paper genocide.

If you are uncertain whether your lineage qualifies, we encourage you to submit an application and include all known family history. The FIP Office of Enrollment will assess your lineage documentation as part of the review process. You may also apply for our Genealogical Research service prior to enrollment if you need assistance documenting your lineage.
